You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to ensure comprehensive patient care. This role demands a compassionate approach to patient interaction, as well as the ability to adapt treatment plans based on patient progress and changing medical conditions. Ultimately, your work will contribute significantly to enhancing patients' quality of life and facilitating their return to daily activities or discharge from inpatient care.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly to optimize recovery outcomes.
  • Document all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and timely in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate care and participate in interdisciplinary meetings.
  • Educate patients and their families on exercises, safety measures, and strategies to maintain physical health post-discharge.
  • Maintain a safe and clean therapeutic environment and ensure all equipment is properly used and maintained.

Skills:

The required skills enable the physical therapist to accurately assess patient conditions and design effective treatment plans that address individual rehabilitation needs. Strong communication skills are essential for educating patients and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive care delivery. Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are used daily to modify therapy approaches based on patient responses and clinical observations. Preferred skills such as expertise in specialty certifications and familiarity with EMR systems enhance the therapist’s ability to provide advanced care and maintain precise documentation.
