Role Description The Mechanical Estimator role is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive estimates for HVAC, Plumbing and mechanical projects from concept through final proposal. On a day-to-day basis, this role reviews drawings and specifications, performs detailed takeoffs of mechanical systems, and analyzes labor, material, and subcontractor costs. The Mechanical Estimator requests and evaluates vendor and subcontractor quotes, identifies value-engineering opportunities, and prepares clear, well-documented estimate summaries and proposals. This hybrid position is based in Redmond, WA, with work performed both on-site for meetings, plan reviews, and collaboration, and from home for focused estimating and documentation. The role also coordinates closely with project managers, engineers, and leadership to support bid strategies, maintain estimating tools and databases, and assist with project handoff after award.
Qualifications
