About Us:
Morgan Mechanical Inc. is a leading mechanical contractor specializing in HVAC and plumbing solutions for commercial and public projects. We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Estimator with expertise in HVAC systems, plumbing installations, and construction cost estimating.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documents to determine scope.
- Perform detailed material take-offs for HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
- Obtain and review vendor and subcontractor quotes.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure bid accuracy.
- Collaborate with union field foreman and project managers.
- Independently source bids from GC's, bidding channels and their own network.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in HVAC and plumbing estimating.
- Proficiency in estimating software (QuoteSoft, Sales Manager) and MS Excel.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, plumbing codes, and construction processes.
- Knowledge of union labor planning and commercial construction.
- Design/Build knowledge will be a competitive advantage.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
