HR Generalist

Overland Park, KS | Part-Time | Onsite

Morgan Hunter is partnering with a growing Kansas City-area organization to hire a part-time HR Generalist to take ownership of day-to-day HR needs for a small, collaborative team. This is a hands-on role covering everything from payroll and benefits to employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, and performance management.
Responsibilities

• Process semi-monthly payroll and maintain employee information within Paycor
• Coordinate benefits administration and serve as a resource for employee questions
• Manage onboarding and support recruiting efforts as hiring needs arise
• Provide guidance on employee relations, performance concerns, and corrective actions
• Maintain job descriptions, employee reviews, handbook policies, and HR documentation
• Help ensure company policies and procedures are consistently followed
• Develop training resources and support employee engagement and team-building initiatives
• Assist with company events and programs for both onsite and remote employees
• Partner with leadership and outside HR and benefits resources as needed

Qualifications

• Well-rounded HR generalist experience with the ability to independently manage day-to-day HR needs
• Experience with payroll, benefits, employee relations, onboarding, recruiting, and performance management
• Working knowledge of employment policies, HR best practices, and compliance
• Strong judgment and ability to approach employee matters objectively and professionally
• Approachable, calm communication style with confidence handling difficult conversations
• Ability to build relationships with employees across different roles, personalities, and experience levels
• Paycor experience is a plus but not required
