We are seeking a talented and passionate Makeup Artist to join our team. The ideal candidate possesses five years of professional makeup experience with national brands such as Este Lauder, Lancome, or Merle Norman, has a strong understanding of beauty trends and techniques, along with exceptional communication skills. As a Makeup Artist, you will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity while providing clients with personalized makeup applications that enhance their natural beauty. Your role will also involve engaging with clients to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring they leave feeling confident and satisfied. We are a conservative women's apparel, accessories, and cosmetics store. Our makeup artists dress conservatively and attractively, have no visible tattoos, face or tongue piercings.
Duties
- Provide professional makeup application services for various occasions, including everyday wear, weddings, events, and photoshoots.
- Consult with clients to determine their desired look and recommend suitable products and techniques.
- Stay updated on the latest beauty trends, products, and techniques to offer clients informed advice.
- Assist in beauty cosmetics sales by promoting products during consultations and applications.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and products are sanitized and ready for use.
- Utilize POS systems for processing transactions accurately.
- Engage in upselling of beauty products to enhance client experiences.
- Handle front desk responsibilities, including scheduling appointments and managing client inquiries with excellent phone etiquette.
- Place orders to maintain adequate stock.
- Communicate effectively with clients to build rapport and ensure a positive experience.
- Contact established store clients to increase makeovers.
- Assist on the clothing floor as time permits.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Makeup Artist is a necessity
- Multilingual or bilingual skills are highly desirable to cater to a diverse clientele.
- Familiarity with beauty cosmetics sales is a necessity.
- Strong sales skills with a proven ability to upsell products effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with clients professionally.
