Title: Mobile Endpoint Specialist
FLSA: Exempt
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or greater in an Information Technology concentration is preferred, however, relevant work experience and/or commensurate IT certifications are also considered.
- Demonstratable experience with communications skills, centered on customer/client service.
Immediate Supervisor: Director of Technology
SALARY:Salary based on experience and education level per MCBOE salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation.
Employment Term: 220 days
Preferred Qualification:
- Experience with utilizing and administering Office 365 and Google Workspace applications and services.
- Experience with Remote Monitoring and Managements tools and inventory Management Software suites.
- Experience with troubleshooting general ethernet and wireless network issues and related traffic.
- Any other duties as assigned
DUTIES:
- Respond to and triage incidents surrounding Chromebooks, iPads, and other end users devices efficiently. Condudt needed troubleshooting, any resulting support or training, and/or manage repair of devices as required. Line up warranty service under support contracts as deemed necessary.
- Manage and maintain helpdesk queue and inventory system as part of workflow. For the helpdesk, this includes monitoring and responding to tickets, recategorization as deemed necessary, and keeping appropriate resolutions and closure notes. FOr inventory, assign and unassign assets, keeping service notes on assets, and occasional audits to ensure data accuracy and complete entry.
- Conduct Desktop Support duties as required for staff to promote appropriate usage of hardware and oftware assets, and/or triage and direct to appropriate workflows. This may include Chromebooks, iPads, Windows laptop or desktops, unteractive Panels or other end peripherals as issues arise.
- Keep a pulse on changes and trends in technology, security, advancements in endpoint hardware, and any innovations that can be applied for existing endpoints.
- Take part in planning batch device collections and deployments at beginning and ending of school year, and during any hardware refresh cycle as it arises.
- Frequent travel within county is expected in order to respond to some tickets and collect/delive hardware at school locations.
- Any other duties assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:
- Valid driver's license. Must be able to provide own transportation to schools throughout the school district
- Ability to lift and move endpoint devices and peripheral equipment
