Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in-store, providing knowledgeable product recommendations and exceptional customer service
- Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked retail floor and product displays
- Educate customers on composting products, soil amendments, and sustainable gardening solutions
- Receive, stock, and inventory incoming merchandise and bulk products
- Handle customer inquiries, returns, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner
- Support promotional events, seasonal sales, and marketing initiatives in-store
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous retail, customer service, or sales experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, outgoing demeanor
- Interest or background in agriculture, gardening, composting, or sustainability is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including stocking and organizing inventory
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work a full-time schedule including weekends as needed
- Basic math and computer skills for handling transactions and inventory
