We are currently seeking Acquisition Contracts Specialist to support an IWS team. The role is hybrid with 1 day per week onsite at the Washington Navy Yard. Residence in the DMV is required as the onsite requirement may fluctuate to meet the client’s needs.
What you’ll do:
Provide comprehensive acquisition support including drafting DoD pre-award documents for NAVSEA.
Responsibilities:
- Draft pre-award acquisition documents to include Acquisition Plans, Acquisition Strategies, Statements of Work, Justification and Accreditations and full RFP packages.
- Prepare ISTRAP, MSTRAP and PSTRAP documents
- Act as support to junior team members
- Attend meetings and provide onsite/in-person support as required
- Travel domestically and internationally, provide in-person support at MBC and client sites, and obtain and maintain professional certifications and security clearances as required by MBC and/or MBC’s clients. These requirements are subject to change without advance notice at the discretion of MBC and MBC’s clients
Qualifications:
- Active DOD Secret security clearance required
- 5-8 years’ experience planning, documenting and executing DoD milestone decisions
- Demonstrated experience drafting pre-award documents including those mentioned above
- Familiarity with DoD 5000 and multiple acquisition pathways
- Prior US Navy acquisition and contracts experience
- Ability and interest in mentoring team members
- Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally using a credit card or prepaid debit card as required by MBC and/or clients
Compensation Policy:
Salary ranges displayed are typical for this position, but MBC considers multiple factors when extending an offer. Factors include the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's qualifications, and the contractual terms of the program.

Salary : $80,000 - $110,000
