📍 Texas-based | Field-Focused Role with Travel
Our client is seeking an experienced HSE Specialist to help implement and maintain health, safety, and environmental programs across multiple facilities. This role plays a key part in creating and sustaining a safe, compliant, and proactive work environment.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct on-site safety inspections and identify hazardous conditions
- Partner with facility leaders to implement corrective actions and safety policies
- Support and deliver safety training for new and existing employees
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses; perform root cause analysis
- Complete job hazard assessments and recommend PPE and process improvements
- Support DOT/FMCSA compliance and vehicle safety initiatives
- Collaborate closely with the Safety Team to improve safety performance across locations
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years of experience in safety and compliance
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA (29 CFR 1910); DOT/FMCSA experience a plus
- Proven ability to train, influence, and communicate at all levels
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable in a field-based role with up to 60% overnight travel
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Education & Certifications
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred (Safety, Occupational Health, or related)
- OSHA 30-hour required; OSHA 501/511 strongly preferred
