Director of Operations – Power Infrastructure Construction
📍 Greater Houston Area (Relocation assistance provided to Houston for the right candidate)
I’m partnering with a rapidly growing power infrastructure contractor that is seeking a high-impact operations leader to oversee multiple business units.
This is a highly visible leadership role with significant long-term growth potential and a clear path toward executive-level leadership.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of field operations leadership, financial acumen, customer relationship management, and the ability to scale teams and processes in a fast-moving environment.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Leading multi-division operations across power infrastructure construction
- Managing superintendents, general foremen, and large field teams
- Driving operational performance, workforce productivity, safety, and project execution
- Overseeing P&L performance and cost structure across a large operational footprint
- Partnering closely with customers, field leadership, and executive leadership
- Supporting expansion into new markets and future service line growth
- Building scalable operational systems and developing future leaders
Backgrounds that align well:
- Power infrastructure construction
- Overhead distribution
- Underground distribution (URD)
- Substation construction
- Utility contracting / outside electrical construction
**MUST have Union workforce environment experience (IBEW experience highly valued)
This organization is looking for a hands-on operator — someone comfortable both in the field and in the boardroom. Strong business discipline, leadership presence, and the ability to build and mentor teams are critical.
Salary : $170,000 - $230,000
