Responsibilities

The Why

We make things. Real, physical products that have to move in and out of our plant on time, every time. That’s where you come in.

This role sits at the heart of shipping and logistics. You’ll keep materials flowing, customers informed, and paperwork accurate—so production, finance, and customers aren’t left guessing (or chasing).

The Role

As Logistics Coordinator, you’ll support inbound and outbound shipments across domestic and export lanes. You’ll work closely with Customer Service, Purchasing, Materials Control, and carriers to make sure everything ships correctly, bills properly, and arrives when it should.

Some days are predictable. Others involve last‑minute changes, urgent shipments, and a bit of problem‑solving. If you like being the calm person in the middle of controlled chaos, you’ll fit right in.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments across domestic and export orders
  • Calculate LTL rates, source full truckload pricing, and book carriers
  • Pre‑plan shipments by estimating size, weight, and documentation needs
  • Prepare bills of lading, shipping labels, export paperwork, and manifests
  • Receive and input inbound cargo accurately into the system
  • Work closely with Customer Service and Supply Planning on shipment timing
  • Communicate directly with customers and CSRs to resolve shipping issues
  • Provide Accounting with accurate freight charges so jobs invoice correctly
  • Maintain strong working relationships with freight carriers
  • Support emergency shipments, overtime, and cross‑training when needed

Qualifications

About You / What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Around 2 years of logistics or transportation experience (manufacturing is a plus)
  • Comfortable working with carriers, rates, and shipping documentation
  • Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills—you keep people informed
  • Able to juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball
  • Happy working independently but also part of a wider team

Nice to Have

  • Experience with export shipments and documentation
  • Hands‑on experience with bills of lading and freight invoicing
  • Familiarity with shop‑floor manufacturing environments

What You’ll Get

  • Full‑time, onsite role with a consistent Monday–Friday schedule
  • Overtime when needed (and paid accordingly)
  • A mix of office work and time on the production floor
  • A practical, no‑nonsense team that values accuracy and follow‑through
  • A role where your work actually keeps the business moving

You’ll need to be comfortable in a manufacturing environment—steel‑toed shoes, safety glasses, occasional heavy lifting, and summer heat included. It’s not glamorous, but it’s honest work, and it matters.
