What are the responsibilities and job description for the Podcast Specialist position at Moresco Public Relations Communications?
Part-Time to Full-Time | Remote (U.S.) | Moresco PR Communications
Moresco Public Relations is seeking a Podcast PR Coordinator to join our fast-growing Podcast PR division. This role is ideal for someone who has worked inside the podcast industry—as a guest booker, producer, show coordinator, or network-side team member—and is ready to apply that expertise to shaping thoughtful, high-impact media opportunities for founders, physicians, and healthcare wellness industry leaders.
You understand what makes a good guest versus a forced pitch. You know how editorial calendars work, how producers think, and what actually makes a booking seamless on the show side. In this role, you’ll use that insider knowledge to build strategic podcast placements that elevate our clients’ credibility, visibility, and long-term thought leadership across health & wellness.
- Identify and vet high-quality podcast opportunities that align with each client’s expertise, narrative, and audience (quality > quantity)
- Leverage your understanding of podcast production workflows to execute thoughtful, well-timed booking strategies
- Craft concise, compelling pitches that respect a show’s editorial lens and clearly communicate guest value
- Manage outreach, follow-ups, and scheduling with hosts, producers, and booking teams
- Coordinate interview logistics between clients and podcast teams to ensure a smooth, producer-friendly experience
- Maintain podcast databases, relationship notes, and campaign tracking systems
- Prepare clients with briefing materials, context on the show, key talking points, and interview flow expectations
- Track coverage, document placements, and support performance reporting
- Contribute creative ideas for new podcast initiatives, series concepts, and long-term booking strategies
- You’ve worked inside podcasts—as a guest booker, producer, show assistant, podcast manager, or in a PR role heavily focused on podcast strategy
- You understand what producers need to say “yes” and what makes a guest genuinely valuable to an audience
- You’re organized, proactive, and comfortable working with multiple shows, timelines, and stakeholders
- You’re a strong writer who can adapt tone based on the show, host, and format
- You follow podcast industry trends and genuinely care about the medium, not just placements
- You thrive in a collaborative, remote environment and take ownership of your work
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in podcast booking, production, show management, podcast-forward PR or a related industry
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and excellent attention to detail
- Familiarity with podcast platforms, booking workflows, and interview production timelines
- A professional, positive attitude and comfort working independently within a fast-moving team
