Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Chief Academic Officer, Educational Services and an assigned Director (immediate supervisor), the Coordinator of VAPA will oversee and provide leadership for all of the District’s VAPA programs; will provide support and technical assistance at the District and school site levels with the effective integration of VAPA with the core curriculum; will assist the Chief Academic Officer, Educational Services with the alignment of all VAPA needs within the Educational Services Division.

Requirements / Qualifications

Experience/Education: Experience in organizing, monitoring, and evaluating programs. Experience in supervising and providing assistance to students and personnel. A minimum of three years of teaching or related experience. Completion of a Master’s or higher degree from an accredited college or university in a field related to the above stated responsibilities. Must possess a valid California Administrative Credential. Possession of a valid California Teaching Credential. Admin Intern credential are welcome to apply. Other: Must possess a valid California Driver’s License during the course of employment. Must be insurable at standard rates and maintain such insurability during the course of employment. Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience in one or more of the arts - Dance, Media Arts, Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts.
