Morehouse General Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate
Per Diem Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician!
This OB-GYN Physician will join our growing healthcare team. Located in Bastrop, Louisiana—just 30 minutes from Monroe—our hospital offers the opportunity to practice a full range of obstetrics and gynecology in a supportive, community-based setting.
The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive women’s health services, including prenatal, labor and delivery, postpartum, gynecologic, and surgical care. This role requires a dedication to patient-centered medicine, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and a passion for improving health outcomes for women across all life stages.
Per Diem Position with competitive call pay!
Able to manage high-risk OB population
Ideal candidates will have experience working alongside a Midwife and APPs
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborate with nurses, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
Educate patients on reproductive health, family planning, and lifestyle choices.
Maintain accurate and compliant medical records in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology (ABMS or AOA).
Active Louisiana medical license or eligibility to obtain.
DEA registration with full prescriptive authority.
Commitment to providing evidence-based, high-quality care to women across the lifespan.
Skills & Attributes
Strong surgical and clinical skills in obstetrics and gynecology.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for working with patients, families, and team members.
Ability to manage both routine and high-risk obstetric patients.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
