We are currently seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our talented team. This role involves a wide range of site development tasks, including layout and design, grading, and construction administration. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work in coordination with architects and educational planners to design site layouts, site grading, vehicular access and parking, athletic fields, and other design work.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for new and existing educational facilities.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, ADA standards, and educational facility regulations.
- Prepare civil engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Integrate sustainable design principles, including stormwater management and green infrastructure.
- Support construction administration and respond to RFIs and field issues during school construction.
- Use CAD and BIM tools to produce and revise engineering documentation.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering from an accredited school is required. Professional Engineer (PE) license or masters degree is preferred.
- 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on educational or institutional projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially with public sector clients.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, site development, and infrastructure systems
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Ability to travel for project requirements, as needed.
