More Than Speech is a therapist-owned, multidisciplinary pediatric therapy clinic located in Winter Park, Florida. We are seeking a full-time Pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who values a collaborative, supportive team environment.
In this role, you will help children build feeding skills, sensory regulation, fine motor and visual motor coordination, independence in self-care routines, and confidence in play and everyday activities. Our clinic focuses on relationship-based, family-centered care, allowing therapists the autonomy and support needed to provide meaningful, functional treatment.
This position is available as a valued therapist transitions into a new chapter in her career. We are ideally seeking a clinician who can begin the week of August 3rd to participate in a paid onboarding and training week, ensuring a smooth and supported transition into the caseload.
Compensation & Schedule Flexibility
Hourly compensation is based on experience.
Our compensation model is designed to give therapists meaningful control over their schedule while supporting a sustainable work-life balance. Clinicians maintain a 34-hour clinical caseload, providing the opportunity to earn a competitive weekly income, with the flexibility to expand their schedule if they choose to increase their earnings. Additional visits allow therapists to increase their overall pay and qualify for productivity incentives.
Overtime pay applies to hours worked beyond 40 hours in a week. Documentation time is paid and supported by a flexible weekly productivity model. This structure supports income growth, promotes work-life balance, and gives therapists autonomy in managing documentation and clinical responsibilities.

Your Role as a Pediatric COTA
- Implement pediatric occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Provide one-on-one therapy sessions for children with developmental delays and disorders
- Address areas including fine motor skills, sensory processing, feeding support, emotional regulation, and self-care skills (ADLs)
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support skill carryover at home
- Document therapy sessions and progress notes accurately and efficiently
- Work collaboratively with supervising OTs, speech-language pathologists, and the multidisciplinary team
- Support treatment planning and goal progression under OT supervision
- Maintain therapy materials and treatment spaces
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current Florida COTA license (COTA/L)
- 3 years of pediatric experience preferred
- Interest or experience with sensory integration, feeding therapy, and/or play-based intervention
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Organized, reliable, and compassionate
- Family-centered approach to care
