About the role
We are looking for a motivated and knowledgeable wine professional to grow our presence across the Chicago North West Suburbs area. The role focuses on both on- and off-premise accounts, including restaurants, wine bars, hotels, clubs, and independent retailers.
We have an active portfolio of clients to manage and grow.
Pay Range: $60,000.00 - 90,000.00 per year
Key responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service and informative wine and fine beverages presentations to customers through regular visits, phone calls, emails and other means of communication
- Management of a sales territory
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers and increase distribution of products
- Ability to select and lead Corporate Key Accounts throughout the whole sales process
- Execute and achieve specific focus goals within the territory on a monthly and annual basis
- Participate in trade shows, seminars, webinars, tastings and events
Skills and qualifications
- Based in the North West Suburbs
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience, including at least 3 years in the wine industry is required
- WSET certifications are required
- Strong knowledge of Italian wines is required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required
- Italian language is a plus
- Positive attitude with strong follow-up and customer service skills
- Self-starter with energy, discipline, and accountability
Position Requirements
- Availability to attend, individual and team meetings and other sales related event at Northbrook, IL our warehouse and headquarter
- Ability to work evenings and weekends when necessary
- Must have a valid Illinois driver’s license, insurance, a reliable vehicle and a good record,
- Please note a Background check and driving record shall be requested
- Basic Microsoft Office Skills
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds
