Summary/Objective
The position of Case Master at More Than a Bakery is expected to effectively and efficiently perform the expectations and guidelines outlined herein and be an active team member on our staff.
Essential Functions

1. Responsible for ensuring the production of safe and high quality products through verification of all processes and keen attention to all of More Than a Bakery’s Critical Control Points.
2. Set the proper code dates in Plex to match case code dater and carton machine or any other machine that he/she might be required to operate at the beginning of each shift.
3. Ensure code date and label are properly applied to case with proper code date.
4. Distinguish the proper packaging according to the Quality Control Specifications and Plex Bill of material.
5. Supply line with materials in FIFO (first in/first out) order.
6. Set up and change over machine(s) in area, i.e.; carton machine, tape case sealer, and shrink wrap. (materials for the next job)
7. Aid machine operators with machine issues.
8. Provide backup support for the line as instructed by Line manager/Lead on shift.
9. Responsible for Finished Goods production records & Plex reconciliation and troubleshoot issues involving scrap & master units.
10. Responsible for inventory tracking of Bill of materials loaded to workcenter for each and after each production run.
11. Stack cases on pallet per type of product being produced and verify pallet is properly built according to item specifications. i.e.; shrink wrap must properly secure product to pallet, proper pallet stacking. Etc.
12. Responsible forklift inspection at the beginning of each shift.
13. Responsible for keeping baler area clean at all times and by end of each shift.

Work Environment
Family members are sometimes exposed to hazardous situations. May work close to others, usually within a few feet. May work in settings that are loud or have distracting noises. Safety equipment such as gloves and hair nets may be necessary.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a family member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the family member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. Family member must be able to lift 50 pounds, work in confined areas, and in awkward positions.

Requirements
Required Education and Experience
1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. Computer skills
3. Minimum of 2 years’ related experience and/or training, preferably in manufacturing or distribution companies
Preferred Education and Experience Food manufacturing and/or inventory experience is a plus
