Social Media and Communications Coordinator

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Social Media and Communications Coordinator to join our Sales and Marketing team. This role is responsible for crafting compelling content, managing internal and external communications, and supporting strategic initiatives for Moravian Manor Communities and its Parent organization, Unitas Communities, that enhance brand visibility and engagement. The ideal candidate is a skilled storyteller, a savvy digital communicator, and a collaborative team player.

This role offers a part-time, in-office schedule working 20 hours per week on dayshift, with flexibility based on needs for special events.

What Are My Key Responsibilities? 

• Content Creation & Management
• Develop and edit content for newsletters, press releases, blog posts, social media, and website.
• Ensure brand consistency across all communication platforms.
• Assist in the creation of multimedia content including video scripts, graphics, and presentations.
• Media & Public Relations
• Draft and distribute press releases and media advisories.
• Build and maintain relationships with media contacts.
• Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on PR performance.
• Crises and reputation Management/Communication.
• Internal Communications
• Support internal messaging strategies to keep employees and residents informed and engaged.
• Collaborate with various departments and leadership team on announcements, campaigns, and events.
• Digital & Social Media
• Manage social media accounts and develop content calendars.
• Monitor engagement metrics and optimize content for performance.
• Stay current with digital trends and recommend innovative communication strategies.
• Event Support
• Assist with planning and promotion of events, open houses, and community outreach, including attending events and capturing photos for social media marketing and communications.
• Coordinate communication materials.
  
  

What Qualifications Will I Need For This Role? 

• 1-2 years of experience of communication and social media coordination preferred.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Photography and videography skills preferred.
• Proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
• Experience with design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
