Moravian Manor Communities, located in the beautiful town of Lititz, PA, is a premier not-for-profit senior living community that has been serving older adults for 50 years. We are currently seeking a motivated, organized, and compassionate Volunteer Coordinator to lead and grow our volunteer program. This role is ideal for someone who is a self‑starter, enjoys working independently, and can build positive relationships with volunteers, residents, families, and staff.
This role offers a part-time schedule working 20 hours per week on dayshift, with flexibility and occasional weekends based on needs for special events.

What will I do in the role of a Volunteer Coordinator?
- Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers, maintaining effective working relationships with agencies and community resources. Schedules volunteers (individual and groups) for specific duties and activities.
- Maintains all pet volunteer records and schedules visits.
- Keeps volunteer records, including required testing and vaccines. Keeps tracks of volunteer hours and submits a quarterly report to the Director of Activities.
- Assists the Director of Activities in planning yearly budget for volunteer services.
- Responsible for keeping volunteer services policy and procedures manual, the volunteer handbook and other literature up to date.
- Ensures volunteers provide support ad assistance to residents and staff in a safe and dignified manner, being respectful of residents' rights and their personal preferences.
What do I need in the role of a Volunteer Coordinator?
- High School graduate with volunteer experience. Post-high school education is preferred.
- Experience working with people in a supervisory position.
- Experience working with the senior population and experience or training with dementia all preferred.
- Previous experience with volunteers, activities, or community organizations is a plus.
- Proficiency with computers and able to learn new software systems.
- Demonstrate exceptional communication, organizational skills, along with the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
