Moravian Manor Communities has an opportunity for a full-time Activities Assistant to join our team!
Moravian Manor Communities is a premier not-for profit senior living center that has been serving older adults for over 50 years.
We are currently seeking a full-time Activities Assistant. Ideal candidate can work both independently and in a team environment. We are looking for that candidate who is a compassionate and caring person to assist our residents. Someone that is creative and capable of leading group activities, working independently and enjoys spending time with our residents. Prior experience in long term care is a plus.
Hours for this full-time dayshift position will include every other weekend and every other holiday. Some evenings may be required for special events.

Job Responsibilities Include:
- Plans and monitors unit activities, content of programs, and independent activities.
- Implements individual and group activities; supervise the residents' use of all equipment and materials, and takes the necessary precautions in implementing the program.
- Oversees documentation of resident participation assessment, MDS, care plan, and progress on the appropriate forms.
- Works with activities staff to establish and maintain effective working relationships with agencies and volunteer groups.
Job Requirements include:
- High school graduate
- MDS experience preferred
- Dementia experience preferred
- Certified Dement Practitioner a plus
- Must be vaccinated for influenza unless approved for a medical or religious exemption
