Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Engage with customers warmly, taking orders and providing personalized recommendations to enhance their visit
- Handle retail sales transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards across food preparation areas, ensuring compliance with food handling regulations
- Assist in food preparation and serving, supporting overall café operations during busy periods
- Manage time efficiently to serve multiple customers promptly while upholding quality standards
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness
Experience
- Prior barista experience required
- Demonstrated ability in retail sales transactions, cash handling, and POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach to engaging guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in the food industry or retail sales environments that require multitasking and excellent communication
