What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Analyst Intern position at Moran Wealth Management®?
The Summer Analyst Internship is a paid program that provides exposure to both our private wealth and asset management divisions. The analysts will support the Portfolio Management Team and Client Advisory Team on meaningful, special projects that will provide applicable skills for working in the wealth management industry. The individual should have strong critical-thinking skills and work well individually and as part of a group. An ideal candidate is a clear communicator, detail-oriented, has a high degree of follow-through, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where each day is different.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work closely with the firm’s Portfolio Managers to assist in building and analyzing investment models
- Work with Investment Analysts to create efficiencies in the investment process
- Help develop creative and interactive visualizations to interpret data used to make critical investment strategy decisions
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Work closely with the firm’s Financial Planners to assist in building financial plans and create efficiencies in the planning process.
- Shadow the firm’s most experienced Relationship Managers, Senior Advisors, Financial Planners
- Work with business operations team to assist with special projects focused around the CRM
- Work with advisors to assist with special research projects focused around areas such as recent market events, financial planning, and or historical market trends
Qualifications
- Enrolled in college (Junior/Senior)
- Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on projects effectively
- Ability to work independently but also in a team
- Exceptional leadership qualities
