Position Overview
Morales Group is partnering with an established manufacturing organization seeking an IT Systems Engineer to design, manage, and improve its server, datacenter, and cloud environments. This opportunity offers hands-on technical work, infrastructure design responsibilities, and collaboration across a knowledgeable IT team.
What You Will Do as an IT Systems Engineer:
· Design and implement datacenter and cloud solutions, including server deployments, cluster expansions, and infrastructure upgrades.
· Install, configure, and support Windows and Linux servers, VMware environments, and Nutanix infrastructure.
· Automate infrastructure processes using PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform.
· Manage enterprise storage, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
· Support Active Directory, certificate services, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
· Develop cloud architecture and support DevOps and CI/CD processes, including Azure DevOps.
· Apply least-privilege and privileged access management principles to strengthen infrastructure security.
· Troubleshoot complex issues, maintain technical documentation, and lead projects through completion.
· Collaborate with teammates through cross-training and knowledge sharing.
What You Bring:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
· Strong knowledge of enterprise datacenter hardware, software, virtualization, and storage.
· Experience with three-tier and hyperconverged infrastructure, including Nutanix AOS and VMware vSAN.
· Knowledge of SQL Server administration and VDI/profile management tools such as DEM and FSLogix.
· Experience with enterprise storage platforms such as HPE Alletra, Dell PowerStore, NetApp, or Pure Storage.
· Familiarity with disaster recovery technologies such as Zerto and VMware SRM.
· Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and use data to improve performance and cost efficiency.
