We're seeking an HR Generalist to join our team with primary responsibility for end-to-end recruitment while providing essential HR business partner support. This role is ideal for someone who excels at talent acquisition and enjoys the people side of HR.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned departments, from job posting through offer negotiation and onboarding coordination
- Source candidates through multiple channels including job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, and networking
- Screen resumes, conduct initial phone interviews, and coordinate interview schedules with hiring managers
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for hard-to-fill or frequently hired positions
- Ensure positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process
- Track recruitment metrics and provide regular updates to leadership on pipeline status and time-to-fill
- Manage and maintain the ATS
HR Business Partner Support:
- Support performance review cycles by tracking completion, sending reminders, and compiling documentation
- Administer and maintain leave of absence reports while partnering with the HR leadership team to ensure continuity and insights
- Administer engagement surveys, analyze results, and create actionable reports with recommendations for leadership and department heads
- Identify learning and development needs through focus groups, stay interviews, and performance data
- Support the rollout of engagement initiatives such as recognition programs, employee resource groups, or wellness activities
- Translate HR data into meaningful insights and trends to inform strategic workforce planning
- Conduct exit interviews, identify patterns, and provide retention insights to HR leadership
- Coordinate and promote L&D opportunities including training programs, lunch-and-learns, mentorship initiatives, and professional development resources
- Generate HR reports and dashboards for leadership review
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 3 years of HR experience with demonstrated recruitment expertise
- Hybrid work schedule, must be willing to come into our downtown Houston office
- Experience in a start-up company
- Strong knowledge of applicant tracking systems and HRIS platforms
- Knowledge of engagement survey tools and methodologies
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) and HR technology platforms
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar) is a plus
