GTM Lead — First Sales & Marketing Hire
Location: NYC (Onsite, US citizens only; relocation available)
Our client is on a mission to empower the engineers building some of the most important machines of our time and they are looking for a creative, driven GTM Lead to help bring that mission to market.
As the very first GTM hire, you will work side by side with the CEO to generate early traction, unlock revenue, and build the foundation of a world-class go-to-market engine. You will design and execute inventive marketing campaigns, talk directly with target customers, and shape a brand that speaks to cutting-edge engineering teams. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role spanning marketing, content, community, partnerships, and early sales motion.
Our client sells into the following verticals: Industrial, Aviation, Maritime, Robotics, Defense, and Communications.
This role would suit somebody that wants to found their own tech company in the future. If you love building from scratch, telling great stories, and moving fast in a scrappy startup environment, this is an opportunity to make an outsized impact from day one.
What You Will Bring
Required
- 2 years in marketing, GTM, growth, content, or sales
- Exceptional written communication and online storytelling skills
- A fast, bias-to-action working style, you execute quickly and creatively
- Confidence managing CRM and marketing tools to keep things running smoothly
Ideal
- Engineering or technical background (EE, ME, CS, Robotics, etc.)
- Experience in solutions engineering, technical sales, or technical marketing
- A track record of building an online following or driving digital attention
- Prior experience in an early-stage startup or excitement for zero-to-one GTM
