Job Overview
MOR Construction Services LLC is a contractor looking to add an experienced Utility Foreperson and Heavy Equipment Operator to our growing team of highly motivated individuals. Candidates should have a familiarity with OSHA regulations and the ability to recognize hazards and unsafe conditions. Must be reliable, hardworking and have reliable transportation. Must be able to run the job from the seat, ability to supervise, and be willing to get hands dirty. Must have extensive experience with underground utilities, sanitary, storm, & sewer main line installation, repair, and site work. This non-exempt position operates one or more types of heavy construction equipment such as: excavators, backhoes, skid steers, loaders, rollers, and dozers to perform various tasks.
Responsibilities
- Discuss plans for the day's work with Project Manager, reviews work plans and determines best method of getting assigned work done safely, accurately, and on time.
- Operate equipment with priority of making the job safe for all people working around the equipment and follow Safety Policies
- Ensures that other workers stay clear of machine while working in tight places and ensures that there is teamwork between self and other operators working at the project site.
- Make judgments regarding the most efficient operations of equipment and attachments.
- Compliance with all Polices
- Performs equipment maintenance duties such as cleaning, greasing and oiling machines
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of equipment operating experience required.
- Minimum of 10 years of utility, storm & sanitary sewer, and siter work experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience required.
- Valid driver’s license required
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) a plus.
- Related construction experience required.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Decision making abilities
- Ability to read grades/ blueprints
- Must possess very good hand, foot, and eye coordination to safely operate their equipment.
- Must be able to operate for extended periods of time.Requires extensive and heavy physical activity and dexterity.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Must possess excellent communication (written/verbal) and time management skills.
- Requires specific types of vision: close, color, peripheral
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a background check and
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to provide direction and training to crew members/ drivers as needed.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive pay (commensurate with experience).

Pay: $45.00 - $57.29 per hour
