What are the responsibilities and job description for the Area House Cleaner / Future Cleaning Manager position at Mop and Bucket Cleaning LLC?
Average earnings: approximately $25/hour | Paid after every completed job | 1099 Independent Contractor
Mop & Bucket House Cleaning is looking for a dependable, motivated cleaning professional to become our local Area Cleaning Partner in your area.
This is more than just a house cleaning opportunity. We are looking for someone who would eventually like to take ownership of the day-to-day operation of the area and grow into a management role as our customer base expands.
How the Role Starts
Initially, you will primarily complete residential cleaning jobs for Mop & Bucket customers and help make sure every customer has a great experience.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Cleaning residential homes to Mop & Bucket quality standards
- Communicating professionally with customers
- Answering or returning customer calls as needed
- Helping coordinate upcoming appointments
- Making sure customers are happy with their service
- Communicating any customer concerns or scheduling issues promptly
Opportunity to Grow Into Management
As the number of customers increases beyond what one cleaner can reasonably handle, we will add additional cleaners to the area.
At that point, your role can transition from primarily cleaning homes into managing the local cleaning operation.
As an Area Manager, you would:
- Coordinate cleaning schedules
- Communicate with customers
- Complete the cleaning jobs personally or help manage your local cleaning team
- Make sure jobs are completed on time and to our standards
- Help solve customer service or scheduling issues in real-time
- Continue cleaning jobs when needed
Instead of completing every cleaning yourself, you would receive a smaller portion of the revenue from jobs completed by cleaners on your team.
The more the area grows, the more opportunity there is to move away from doing every cleaning personally and into managing the business locally.
What Mop & Bucket Handles
We want you focused on providing excellent service and running the local operation — not trying to find customers yourself.
Mop & Bucket covers:
- Advertising and marketing
- Website and online lead generation
- Sales systems
- Booking and scheduling software
- Business phone/software costs
- Customer acquisition
- Administrative systems
We bring in the customers and provide the business infrastructure. You provide dependable local service and help us build a great cleaning team.
Compensation
- Cleaners currently average approximately $25 per hour
- Paid after each completed job
- Opportunity to earn additional income as the area grows and you begin managing other cleaners
- 1099 independent contractor position
Who We're Looking For
The right person is:
- Dependable and trustworthy
- Comfortable working independently
- Friendly and professional with customers
- Detail-oriented
- Comfortable answering phone calls and communicating by text
- Able to manage a schedule and stay organized
- Interested in eventually managing other cleaners
- Motivated by the opportunity to help grow a local operation
- Able to pass a criminal background check - no violent crimes or theft
House cleaning experience is helpful, but reliability, professionalism, and the ability to take ownership of the customer experience are especially important.
