Overview
We are a small family owned and run childcare center, seeking a passionate, dedicated and reliable teacher aide to join our team. This candidate would float through our classrooms(ages vary from infants to young school age).
The ideal candidate will help create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, fostering their growth and development through engaging activities and individualized attention.
This role requires a strong understanding of early childhood education principles, be a team player who is dependable and consistent in attendance, flexible, and has the ability to manage a classroom effectively. Hours would vary weekly between 20-25 hours per week, Monday-Friday but flexible with schedule! Potential for more hours available on occasion if desired!
Must be 18 or older.
Responsibilities
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and discovery through play!
- Assist teachers in classroom management-ensuring a positive atmosphere.
- Provide care for children including assistance with daily activities such as feeding, diapering, and nap time.
- Foster strong relationships with students, encouraging their social skills and emotional well-being.
- Help to maintain a clean and organized classroom and center space.
- Covering teachers lunch breaks and/or out of classroom time(planning, trainings etc) or covering a classroom if a teacher is out.
Preferred Skills:
- Proven experience working with children in a childcare setting is preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and other staff.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all students and staff.
- First Aid/CPR certified preferred
Monthly bonus currently available for all eligible staff through the Wage Supplement Program.
*Must be willing to obtain fingerprinting eligibility requirement upon hire. Hire is contingent on passing fingerprinting/background check.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.50 - $15.75 per hour
