Job Summary
Under general direction to independently perform a variety of technicial and specialized clerical, secretarial and personnel work related to the recruitment, selection, assignment, employment, credentialing and record keeping for process of employees.
Duties typically involve a high level of responsibility for designated process and services in the personnel office; and to perform related duties as required.
Primary responsibilities are to:
• Provides factual information related to employment, regarding regulations, policies and procedures to parents, public and staff;
• Schedules and conducts interviews to assess candidate’s’ ability to perform in the applied position; screens applications for suitability for positions; schedules and conducts interviews of qualified applicants; uses good judgment in the background screening and selection of employees; monitors fingerprint clearances;
• Assists employees in completing and submitting a variety of forms and documents regarding employment, credentials, benefits and other related materials
• Monitors credential expiration;
• Independently organizes and maintains a variety of files relating to the personnel department, personally collecting required information for department needs; assembles, organizes, and prepares a variety of files, reports, and summaries requiring good judgment, knowledge, understanding and methods of the personnel department; establishes and maintains numerical, alphabetical and subject matter files which may contain highly sensitive and privileged materials.
