Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Moorpark High School Principal in conjunction with the MHS Athletic Director, the Moorpark High School Head Cross Country Coach is responsible for coaching student-athletes in training techniques, endurance strategies, and race preparation to support their athletic development and competitive success. The Head Cross Country Coach oversees all aspects of the Cross Country program, fostering a positive and inclusive environment that promotes personal growth, teamwork, and a strong work ethic among student-athletes. The coach is expected to lead by example, demonstrating integrity, sportsmanship, and a commitment to the personal and athletic growth of each student. The program shall be conducted in alignment with the District’s mission, vision, and values—supporting the holistic development of students and reflecting the District’s dedication to academic achievement, character education, and equity for all.

Comments and Other Information

Current employees working in a different job classification and desiring to make application for a vacant position should complete and submit an Application for Classified Employment to the Personnel Office prior to the posted deadline. An employee requesting to transfer from one work site to another work site in the same job classification, must complete and submit a classified Request for Transfer to the Personnel Office prior to the deadline.
