Position Summary
As our MDS Coordinator / Reimbursement Nurse, you'll coordinate comprehensive resident assessments, oversee the MDS/PDPM process, and collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans that promote each resident's highest level of physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and lead the resident care planning process with the interdisciplinary team.
- Complete and submit MDS/PDPM assessments in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Maintain and update individualized care plans.
- Monitor Medicare compliance and participate in weekly Medicare meetings.
- Ensure timely documentation, regulatory compliance, and required submissions.
- Educate clinical staff on accurate documentation practices.
- Collaborate with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care.
- Maintain current knowledge of clinical practices, reimbursement systems, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current Florida CPR Certification
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills
- Medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
- Geriatric nursing experience is a plus
- Ability to remain on duty during emergencies or natural disasters when required
