Mooresville Christian Academy is seeking a dynamic, Christ-centered leader to serve as Athletic Director. This individual will be passionate about building a culture of excellence to take our athletic programs to the next level of competitive success, while remaining firmly rooted in our biblical mission.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Growth: Develop a long-term vision to enhance athletic participation and raise the standard of competitiveness across all middle and high school programs.
Championship Culture: Foster an environment that pursues athletic excellence and character development, ensuring MCA is a respected competitor in the IHSAA and the community.
Personnel Leadership: Recruit and mentor a coaching staff that models both Christian integrity and a high level of technical sports expertise.
Operations & Compliance: Manage IHSAA eligibility, game-day logistics, facility usage, and department budgets.
Community Liaison: Serve as the primary representative for MCA athletics with families, opposing schools, and the local community.
Qualifications
A committed Christian with a personal faith in Jesus Christ, aligned with MCA’s mission.
Required 5 years minimum experience in athletic administration with a track record of program development.
Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management or a related field (preferred).
Strong knowledge of IHSAA rules and a heart for mentoring student-athletes.
