We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Cabana Manager to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our private club’s pool area. As the Pool Manager, you will be responsible for the daily management of the pool, including overseeing pool staff, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, and delivering top-notch service to our club members and their guests. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food and beverage management, exceptional customer service skills, and a passion for ensuring an unforgettable member experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the private club's pool, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and a high-quality experience for members.
- Lead and manage a team of lifeguards, bartenders, servers and hosts, ensuring proper staffing and coverage during peak hours.
- Regularly inspect the pool and surrounding areas to ensure compliance with safety standards and club policies.
- Handle member requests, inquiries, and complaints in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner.
- Organize and lead training sessions for staff, ensuring adherence to protocols.
- Enforce club pool rules and regulations to provide a safe, enjoyable environment for all members and guests.
- Work closely with club management to plan and implement pool-related events and member activities (e.g., swim lessons, aquatic fitness classes, and private pool parties).
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
- Current certifications in CPR, First Aid, (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience managing pool operations or in a supervisory role in a similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with members and staff.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Ability to handle difficult or sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
- Experience working in a private club or luxury hospitality setting is highly preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in member relations and understanding the needs of high-end clientele.
- Knowledge of poolside service and luxury hospitality standards.
