Moorefield Construction Inc has been in business for over 65 years performing commercial construction of large retail centers, theaters and entertainment complexes, casinos, hotels, and a variety of other commercial projects.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Manager to join our construction team. The Purchasing Manager is responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, equipment, and services to support our projects. This role ensures timely delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with company and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and obtain pricing from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, subcontracts, and change orders.
- Track deliveries and coordinate logistics to ensure materials arrive on time.
- Maintain purchasing records, vendor files, and cost documentation.
- Assist with vendor negotiations and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and accounting to support jobsite needs.
What We’re Looking For
- 3 years of purchasing or procurement experience in construction.
- Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and supplier markets.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software/ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
