Duties
- Accurately pick and prepare millwork orders
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery safely to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to OSHA safety standards to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Assist in shipping & receiving processes by verifying orders against shipping documents, preparing items for dispatch, and ensuring proper documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area by properly stacking pallets, securing loads with straps or clamps, and managing inventory with accuracy.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize order picking procedures and improve overall warehouse productivity.
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution or related construction/materials handling environments.
- Valid certification or experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and load/unload machinery.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting regularly and stand for extended periods.
- Prior experience working with shipping & receiving processes in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction materials or millwork products is a plus.
