Maintenance Technician ll 3rd Shift

Maintenance Technician II are responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of Moore Industries, Inc. goals and objectives. This position is expected to have developed a trade of expertise for machine maintenance and production equipment repairs. This includes installing, maintaining, and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, mechanical, and electrical systems on all production equipment and have the ability to work independently in the performance of standard maintenance and repairs under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities

• On a daily basis, receive assigned work orders to complete on equipment
• Upon completion of work, enter appropriate information on the work order and return
• Perform scheduled PMs and visually inspect and test assigned machines and equipment for proper functionality
• Perform repairs on production machines and/or equipment when a malfunction has been detected
• Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment
• Perform machine installations/moves and building maintenance tasks as needed
• Assist in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment
• Develop, coordinate, and track project list activities
• Perform general maintenance duties and preventative maintenance on building and machines
• Assist in servicing and replacing minor plumbing fixtures
• Perform minor electrical work such as replacing light bulbs and fuses
• Assist in minor carpentry and repair work
• Use a variety of hand and power tools electric meters, and material handling equipment
• Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to the Maintenance Lead
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition according to company standards
• Maintain machinery, equipment, and tools by cleaning, lubricating, greasing, and/or oiling
• Ensure that a high level of safety is adhered to at all times on and of the production floor
• Report any safety issues immediately
• Other duties and secondary functions as assigned

Job Requirements

• Stand, walk, bend, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, or crouch for duration of the shift
• Must have full range of body movements including use of hands to handle or feel objects
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Repetitively grab, flex, and twist hands, shoulders, and upper extremities
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Due to time-sensitive nature of manufacturing, some overtime including 12-hour shifts and weekend work may be required
• Must wear personal protective equipment as required
• Steel Toe Boots Are Required
• Maintenance experience required
• Manufacturing experience required
