Patient Care Coordinator – Moore Eye Clinic (Tuscaloosa, AL)
Full-time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (No weekends!) | $16–$17.50/hour based on experience
Moore Eye Clinic is a well-established optometry practice in Tuscaloosa dedicated to exceptional vision care and a warm, welcoming patient experience. We're looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to be the first face and voice our patients meet — someone who takes pride in making people feel cared for from the moment they walk in.
What You'll Do
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, setting the tone for their visit
- Answer and direct phone calls promptly and courteously
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Accurately collect and enter patient information into our electronic health records system
- Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming
- Support our clinical and optical teams with administrative tasks as needed
What We're Looking For
- Prior experience in a medical or optometry office preferred, but not required — we're happy to train the right person
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable with computers and office software; EHR experience a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- $16–$17.50/hour, based on experience
- Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. — no weekends, no late nights
- Paid time off: 2 weeks vacation 1 week sick time annually (eligible after 6 months)
