Residential Design & Drafting Technician
Custom Residential Design/Build – Southeastern Wisconsin

Moore Designs Inc. (MDI) is seeking a Residential Design & Drafting Technician to join our experienced design/build team. For more than 40 years, MDI has specialized in the design and construction of upscale custom homes and renovations throughout Southeastern Wisconsin.
You'll work alongside other experienced design, engineering, estimating and project management staff in a collaborative environment where every project is unique. Working from conceptual designs, you'll develop construction documentation where you'll play an important role in creating homes that are both beautiful and practical to build.

This role is an on-site position at the company headquarters in Germantown, WI, with some travel to project sites.
In This Role, You'll Help Develop Construction Documents For Custom Homes By:
· Preparing residential floor plans and exterior elevations
· Developing construction documents and technical details
· Creating building sections and framing layouts
· Preparing cabinet, millwork, and interior elevations
· Developing window and door details
· Assisting with detailed specifications documentation
· Coordinating with other in-office residential design, estimating and project management personnel
Qualified Candidates Should Possess
· Experience with residential drafting/design software utilizing .DWG file formats such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar platforms
· Strong technical drafting and organizational skills
· Working understanding of residential construction methods and conventional wood framing practices
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
· Strong attention to detail and professional communication skills
· Residential drafting, custom home design/build, or residential construction experience is preferred

Pay: $29.00 - $41.00 per hour
