Litigation Paralegal:
Plaintiff’s employment boutique law firm is searching for a Litigation Paralegal to join our team. The successful candidate will be able to provide assistance during all phases of litigation, have excellent organizational skills, great customer service skills, be a team player and ability to work in a faced paced environment. Most importantly, the successful candidate will have a passion for protecting the rights of our clients.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Be a vital part of our legal team, managing an employment docket in both state and federal court.
- Draft state and federal motions, responses to discovery, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Maintain litigation calendar management, keeping us ahead of deadlines, hearings, and appointments.
- File documents electronically in both state and federal courts.
- Build and maintain organized, case files and trial binders.
- Serve as a professional, empathetic advocate for our clients, guiding them through every step of their case.
- Collaborate with a team of driven professionals who share your passion for making a difference.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Paralegal associate’s degree or certification (preferred)
- Experience with federal and state electronic filing
- Labor and employment experience preferred
- Experience with federal litigation is a must
- Experience with litigation calendars in state and federal court
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases and tasks
- Ability to research rules, deadlines, and information to maintain case files
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) (preferred but not required)
- Ability to work independently with limited oversight
- Ability to prioritize tasks, complete complex tasks efficiently and accuracy and attention to detail
- Positive "can do" attitude
- Proven ability to interact with other team members as well as clients
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and Adobe. Experience with cloud-based client management software is a plus.
