What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Sales position at Moonshot?
Join our high-growth team as the Director of Sales, leveraging your expertise to lead the inside sales team, oversee the quoting process, own and manage the CRM and ERP systems, and implement AI tools to streamline business operations. This role ensures effective integration between technical sales, software platforms, and process improvement, driving efficient growth and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities1. Lead, Manage and Drive Accountability: Support the inside sales team to ensure accurate quoting, managing weekly quote loads with inside sales team, and ensuring quotes are delivered timely based on customer request.
2. Own Quoting: Own, improve and maintain all quoting tools for all current and future business line items, including UL508A, UL67, UL891, PDU, RPP and server products.
3. Training: Responsible for creating training documents, videos, and plans for new inside sales hires.
4. CRM Implementation: Oversee the full lifecycle of the CRM system, including selection, implementation, user training, maintenance, and optimization.
5. ERP Implementation: Act as a key internal technical advisor to the tech stack team and serve as the lead implementation liaison between the ERP provider and all internal stakeholders (Production, Accounting, Engineering, IT), identifying the best-fit solution to support growth plans and streamline manufacturing operations.
6. Drive Sales: Improve sales workflows to accelerate sales and quoting processes using data-driven solutions with AI tools leveraging internal and external data.
7. Continuously Improve: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports providing visibility into the sales pipeline, quoting activity, follow-up rates and conversion metrics
· 5 years in sales operations (2 years of direct leadership), quoting management, or technical sales within the electrical manufacturing or distribution industry with
· Hands-on experience with CRM and ERP platforms, including implementation and administration
· Strong technical aptitude and the ability to learn and explain complex products to diverse audiences
· Familiarity with quoting and documentation for UL508A, UL67, UL891, and related electrical equipment
· Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering thorough and accurate proposals and documentation
· Self-motivated, collaborative, and eager to grow in a high-performance sales environment
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Visio, Project, Outlook)
