Farm Equipment Operator
Location: Greenville, MI
Summary: Moonrise Farming, our family crop farm is looking to hire a full-time employee to encompass our farm needs. We farm 4,000 acres with additional custom work.
Experience with some but not all of these are needed:
- Mechanical experience with semi-tractors and trailers
- F license endorsement is required, CDL is preferred but not required
- 2 years experience working in a shop with heavy equipment or Mechanics schooling
- Knowledge of modern farm equipment and mechanics of said equipment
- Understanding of GPS, auto-steer and precision farming technology
- Row crop experience from planting to harvest
- Ability to work longer hours during peak seasons
- Knowledge of irrigation motors, systems and pumps
- Attention to detail and understanding routine maintenance and mechanic ability
- Good attitude and solid work ethic required
