Part-Time Outpatient Therapist (W-2) | Champaign, IL
Moonlight Trauma & Counseling Center is seeking a thoughtful, grounded therapist to join our growing outpatient practice in Champaign. This is an in-person, part-time W-2 position for a clinician who wants a supportive private-practice setting without having to manage billing, credentialing, marketing, or the business side of running a practice.
We are especially interested in clinicians who work well with adults, adolescents, couples, and/or families and value trauma-responsive, relational, and evidence-based care. Training in EMDR, IFS, ERP, play therapy, substance-use treatment, or related areas is welcomed but not required.
Position details
- Part-time W-2 role: approximately 10–15 hours per week, based on availability and caseload
- Consistent weekly clinical availability required; flexibility for evening and/or Saturday availability is preferred
- In-person sessions provided from our Champaign office, with telehealth as clinically appropriate
- Compensation: $45–$70 per hour, based on licensure, experience, and role responsibilities
- Paid no-shows and late cancellations in accordance with practice policy
- Paid leave provided as required by Illinois law
- Billing, insurance credentialing, referrals, marketing, and EHR infrastructure provided
- Clinical supervision and support available for clinicians working toward independent licensure
- Opportunity to grow into a full time or supervisory role over time, if desired
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field; licensure as required by state regulations (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LSW, LMFT).
- Proven experience working with children, youth, adults, or couples in outpatient settings required
- Strong knowledge and/or interest in training in behavioral health modalities including behavioral therapy, addiction counseling, EMDR, ERP and /or IFS
- Proficiency in clinical documentation standards and medical records management; experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred.
- Familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms and delivering services remotely while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Ability to perform mental health assessments using diagnostic tools such as ICD-9/ICD-10 codes; experience with research and data collection is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills for client engagement and collaboration with healthcare teams; experience working with individuals with disabilities or co-occurring disorders highly valued.
