We’re a witch’s apothecary with a retail storefront in Oceanside, California seeking a retail-focused, customer service–driven team member to join us part-time, starting at $20 per hour. Applicants must be 18 to apply.
This role is ideal for someone with strong retail sales experience who genuinely enjoys working with customers, building connections, and confidently guiding guests through their purchasing decisions. This is an in-person, part-time position (15-25 hours per week) at our Oceanside location. Weekend availability is required.
Primary Focus: Retail Sales & Customer Experience (Approximately 70%)
- Greet every guest warmly and proactively engage in conversation
- Suggest products based on customers’ unique needs and intentions
- Provide accurate, confident product education (purposes, spiritual properties of herbs and crystals, pricing, usage, etc.)
- Drive sales through intentional recommendations and upselling when appropriate
- Meet and exceed sales goals and quotas
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through attentive, personalized service
- Maintain knowledge of sales, promotions, store policies, and security practices
- Restock and maintain sales floor organization throughout your shift
- Collaborate with management to resolve questions, returns, comments, or concerns
- Maintain awareness of inventory levels and communicate restock needs
- Must be able to stand for the duration of your shift and lift up to 25 lbs
Store Side Work & Operational Support (Approximately 30%)
- Label products accurately and neatly
- Complete daily and weekly cleaning task lists
- Support overall store cleanliness, organization, and visual presentation
- Organize displays and backstock areas
- Assist with inventory counts as needed
- Keep accurate records of stocked and labeled items
- Follow directions and complete assigned tasks efficiently
We are specifically looking for someone with retail sales and customer service experience. Spiritual knowledge is a bonus, but strong interpersonal skills and confidence in sales are essential. We carry a variety of herbs, crystals, and spiritual goods and value team members who can educate customers clearly and professionally.
