Senior Communications Manager

This role reports onsite in our Los Angeles office full time.

The Role

This isn't your typical comms job. We're looking for a creative, scrappy PR pro who loves variety—someone who's just as excited to pitch a playful Blippi campaign to consumer press as they are to position Moonbug as a leader in advertising, gaming, and music.

One day you might be helping families fall even more in love with Blippi through a big brand moment. The next, you're shaping how the industry sees Moonbug at an advertising conference or in a gaming trade story. You'll wear many hats, move fast, and constantly find new ways for our brands and our business to break through.

If you thrive on juggling different projects, learning new industries quickly, and solving business problems with communications, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

• Run consumer-facing campaigns that bring Blippi to life, spark conversation, and create memorable brand moments.
• Elevate Moonbug's reputation with industry press through thought leadership and coverage across partnerships, gaming, music, and more.
• Craft and execute smart communication strategies while maintaining attention to detail.
• Translate complex topics into simple, engaging stories for parents, partners, and press.
• Coach and prepare executives for interviews, trade shows, and partner meetings.
• Manage agencies and cross-functional partners to deliver results across multiple workstreams.
• Protect and strengthen the brand by managing issues as they arise.
  
  
  

Requirements

• A communications generalist who thrives on switching between consumer and industry PR.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new topics (e.g., kids' music, gaming, advertising).
• Strong project management skills with proven ability to keep initiatives on track.
• Creative thinker with a proactive approach to finding fresh angles and tactics.
• Comfortable working with executives and influencing internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to adapt tone to diverse audiences.
• Bonus: Experience in kids' media, entertainment, or advertising.
