*Baking Assistant*
Looking for an *experienced* baker to join our small but growing dedicated gluten free bakery. Currently only offering part-time work and transition to a full time position when we open our first store later this year. Semi-flexible schedule. Must currently be available Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from about 7am-2pm.
Looking to train to take over as lead shift baker.
Job description:
- Production of gluten free baked goods in a small commercial bakery.
- Coordinate timing and work efficiently and quickly to prepare baked goods.
- Prepare recipes according to specifications.
- Manage ovens and baking times.
- Ensure a clean environment to prevent cross contamination between allergens.
- Ensure quality items are being produced each time.
- Able to work alone and independently.
- Clean and organize the bakery as necessary.
- Lift 50 lb bags or boxes.
- Be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Experience with stand mixers, convection ovens, other general bakery equipment.
- Knowledge of food handling and experience with allergen handling protocol for food safety.
- Willing to work early mornings or overnight shift.
