RN-Instructor for Nurse Aide course

Job Summary

We are seeking a RN to join our team of Instructors to teach theory, skills and clinicals in our Nurse Aide training program. The ideal candidate will possess extensive nursing experience, including patient care in various healthcare settings, and have experience teaching adult learners. This position is flexible- you let us know when you are available work either days or with the evening class. Duties

• Implement engaging curriculum for the Nurse Aide course, incorporating current healthcare standards and educational best practices.
• Supervise and mentor students, providing guidance on clinical skills, patient care techniques, and documentation review processes.
• Ensure compliance with educational regulations and accreditation standards relevant to healthcare education programs.
• Evaluate student performance through assessments, skill demonstrations, and written examinations; maintain accurate records of progress.

Experience

• Proven nursing experience with a strong background in patient care across diverse environments, including long-term care
• Supervising experience in clinical or educational settings is highly desirable.
• Experience with Adult Education .
• A commitment to training and inspiring the next generation of certified nurse aides

The immediate need is for substitute instructors. Classes are taught weekdays 8 a.m.-3 p.m. and evenings 5:30 p.m.-9:45 p.m. at Moon River Nursing Careers in Chapel Hill, NC. There are also some opportunities to teach clinicals on Saturdays.
