Vice President, Brand Strategy

Overview:

The Vice President, Brand Strategy sets the strategic standard for brand thinking across the agency. You will lead senior client relationships, guide overarching brand direction, and develop high-performing strategy teams that drive growth and differentiation.

This role ensures strategy is a true driver of business impact and creative excellence. By elevating brand thinking, shaping points of view, and leading teams, you turn complexity into clarity and ambition into action. Externally, clients gain a senior partner who brings confidence and clear direction to their most important decisions. Internally, you raise the strategic bar, improving the quality of thinking and developing talent that differentiates the agency’s product.

This position is based in New York City and follows a hybrid work model, requiring three days in office (Tuesday – Thursday).

VP/SVP-level candidates are encouraged to apply. Compensation is commensurate with experience, and candidates with additional experience may be considered at a higher level.

What You Will Be Responsible For:

• Brand Strategy Leadership: Set and elevate the standard for brand strategy across multiple accounts, ensuring clarity, rigor, and business impact
• Lead brand positioning and long-term strategic direction that drives differentiation and growth
• Serve as a senior strategic advisor to clients, guiding high-stakes decisions and anticipating business challenges
• Partner across disciplines to deliver fully integrated solutions
• Review and refine strategic outputs to ensure strong thinking, clear POVs, and high-quality execution
• Lead, mentor, and develop strategy talent, building a high-performing team
• Drive new business and organic growth through strong strategic leadership

What Experience and Skills Do You Need?

• 10 years of brand strategy experience within an agency environment
• Required: Pharmaceutical/healthcare brand experience within regulated categories
• Proven ability to lead strategy across multiple brands or portfolios
• Strong ability to simplify complexity into clear, actionable direction
• Executive presence with experience influencing senior clients and stakeholders
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
• Demonstrated success contributing to new business and growth
• Strong, defensible point of view with the ability to challenge and elevate thinking
