Estimator / Detailer / Project Manager – Bridge Engineering and Execution
Job Overview:

The Opportunity: You will play a critical role in the project lifecycle, transforming complex blueprints into actionable fabrication plans and precise estimates. This multi-faceted position offers the autonomy to manage client relationships while utilizing advanced software to drive the technical accuracy of our custom steel solutions. You will work directly with senior leadership to master specialized industrial estimation and project management.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Analyze and interpret complex blueprints to break down scope items for accurate labor and material pricing.
- Develop detailed shop drawings and DXF files using AutoCAD to guide CNC plasma table operations.
- Execute precise project estimates using Strumis software, ensuring all fabrication and lining hours are accounted for.
- Manage professional client communications, providing confident and timely updates on quotations and project specifications.
- Coordinate internal resources to maintain seamless alignment between the estimating, detailing, and fabrication departments.
- Maintain sophisticated Excel spreadsheets for real-time project tracking, reporting, and budget management.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Advanced proficiency in reading and interpreting fabrication and construction blueprints.
- High level of expertise in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong professional writing skills for drafting formal quotation letters and client correspondence.
- Proven ability to manage multiple technical tasks while meeting strict customer-driven deadlines.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with a rigorous attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; experience with Autodesk Inventor is a plus.
- Prior experience with Strumis estimating software or a strong aptitude for learning new technical platforms.
- Working knowledge of steel tank fabrication, welding processes, and corrosion-resistant linings.
