Moon Automotive is seeking an experienced Master Automotive Technician to join our team. This position is for a highly skilled technician with extensive diagnostic and repair experience who can work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced automotive repair shop.
The ideal candidate will have the knowledge and ability to accurately diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues, perform quality repairs, and ensure every vehicle is repaired correctly the first time. Responsibilities
- Diagnose complex drivability, electrical, engine, transmission, suspension, steering, brake, HVAC, and performance-related concerns.
- Perform major and minor repairs on domestic and import vehicles.
- Perform engine replacements, transmission replacements, timing components, suspension work, steering repairs, brake repairs, cooling system repairs, and other advanced automotive repairs.
- Utilize scan tools, diagnostic equipment, wiring diagrams, and service information to accurately identify vehicle concerns.
- Perform vehicle inspections and provide detailed repair recommendations.
- Ensure repairs are completed efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Test drive vehicles before and after repairs when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Work closely with the service advisor and other team members to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
- Stay current on new vehicle technology and repair procedures.
Qualifications
- Master Technician experience strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional automotive repair experience.
- ASE Master Certification is preferred but not required for highly qualified applicants.
- Advanced diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to diagnose difficult or intermittent vehicle concerns.
- Experience with engine and transmission replacement, drivability diagnostics, electrical diagnostics, and major mechanical repairs.
- Must own a complete set of professional automotive tools.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Dependable, punctual, and motivated.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- No weekends
