Moody & O'Neal CPAs is looking to add a Tax Associate to our growing team. The firm is a leader in the tri-county area with strong experience and expertise in tax services, consulting, business valuations, bookkeeping, and boutique tax planning services. Our office totals 40 professionals across two locations and we are looking for someone with 0 to 3 years of tax experience to join our team. This position also has the option to work out of our Summerville location as well at 119 West Luke Ave . Description and qualifications are as follows:
Position Details
- Industry type: CPA Firm
- Full-Time (40 hours per week) potentially more during tax season, but very little overtime was worked in 2025, and almost no weekends even during busy season.

- Compensation: $62,000 to $72,000 annually based upon experience and licensure.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Preparation of tax returns and client advising.
- Communicate with partners, managers, and clients throughout the engagement process.
- Maintain required continuing education and help expand the firm's service offerings.
Requirements Include:
- 0 -3 years of recent public accounting experience.
- Bachelor's Degree or Masters in Accountancy
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Effective analytical and problem-solving ability
- Experience with CCH Axcess and Engagement is a plus but not required.
Qualifications & Minimum Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting
Experience: Tax Internship or previous CPA Firm Tax Experience
